FOR CHILDREN
Made lovely—in His image
My family and I went on a short trip to Leavenworth, Washington. We got there after dinner and found our motel. We went to sleep because the next day we had fun plans. We were going to visit a fish hatchery since I was doing a school science project on fish. And then after looking around Leavenworth, we were going to go horseback riding up in the mountains.
The next morning when Mom was done showering, we read from the Bible Lesson found in the Christian Science Quarterly. The Lesson includes passages from the Bible and from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
When we were sitting there together, I told Mom that my toe hurt. It was swollen. We talked a little bit about what I am truly made of as God's image—spiritual qualities like purity, love, joy, and so on. God, Spirit, made His children spiritual and perfect, and keeps them that way. He loves us and always causes us to be well and happy.
