I have two healings to share here, in the hope that they will bless someone else, as so many testimonies have helped me. The first involved our son, at a time when he was quite young. His face broke out all over in small sores. I was relatively new to Christian Science at this time, and quite alarmed by his appearance. I called a practitioner for help. After about a week when there seemed to be no improvement at all, I became increasingly fearful.
Two things weighed on my thought; one was the great fear of what others might say, and how they might question whether our son was receiving proper care. The other was a great burden over not having as much time as I thought I should to study and pray.
One day when I had called the practitioner in great desperation, she said that I must turn completely to God in the recognition that He is divine Love. After I hung up the phone, I went into a room and shut the door. I wasn't quite sure how to do this. But I began first by just acknowledging every single instance I could think of in which love was expressed in our home, whether from me to my husband, both of us to our son, or anything else that expressed love.
