How God speaks to us through the Bible
God communicates with us in many ways. Underlying every message from Him is the basic truth of God's completely good, loving nature and of His constant care for man.
One way God communicates with us is through His Word found in the Holy Bible. But His message can't be held on the printed page or be correctly taken as words with only a literal meaning. God's inspiration comes right through the words into our hearts and lives.
I remember when we were to move to another city where my husband had a temporary work assignment. We made a trip there and found an apartment, or so we thought! It was perfectly located—within walking distance of my husband's work. We returned home and gathered our belongings together. Then we made our move, arriving at the apartment only to find it had been rented to someone else. The manager offered us a different apartment—one not big enough to meet our family's needs. The manager became most insistent that we take it. She showed no interest in returning our security deposit. It was late Friday afternoon and she had to leave for the weekend, so my husband suggested we meet again on Monday morning.
