Closer to God
The Word is always there!
Tender human care and touch
May support us in some trial or dark despair,
But it's God's love, the Father-Mother's love,
The universal strength of Truth,
That brings us home,
Home to the Science of the Christ—
The Comforter we all may share.*
The Word is always here!
Though human doubt or self-made fear
May bring us to the mount of wind and fire
And quaking earth;** yet, like Elijah, we may hear
The still small voice of Soul
That leads us home,
Home to conscious oneness with our God
And His Science divine, the Comforter of all,
Forever near.
