I am one of many who have been healed simply by reading the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

In March 1973 my life was in turmoil; domestic affairs caused me great distress, and there were ugly scenes with my husband. We were both caring, responsible parents, and handled our jobs and finances in an exemplary manner—but we needed to stop using alcohol.

I felt I knew where the answers lay. I took out a book that my mother had given me some years before. After pouring out all the alcoholic drinks, and at the same time throwing away my cigarettes, I began to read.
