In giving a testimony, how does one begin to choose as outstanding a particular healing—one that exceeds others that were also exceptional? Healing, after all, are all important whether considered "small" or "large." They are each very precious, as proofs that God's love heals. Wonderful healing follows the study and application of the rules of Christian Science, the remarkable and original discovery of Mary Baker Eddy.

I value every healing I have had through the study of Christian Science. The one in particular that takes center stage in my thought is a recent one that happened at the time of a move into a new house. I felt I had been led to this new place as a result of prayer and of feeling God's guiding, protective presence.

One evening after mailing some letters at a corner mailbox, I realized darkness had suddenly come on. Being in a new environment, I felt fear take over. There was a gaping hole in the sidewalk that I did not see, and I fell full force on the pavement. Before this onset of fear I had been confident that God was guiding me in the move, and that therefore I was directed in carrying out His purpose and plan. As stated in Science and Health: "Christianity is the basis of true healing. Whatever holds human thought in line with unselfed love. receives directly the divine power" (p. 192). There had been instant shock and pain after the fall, and my shoulder and arm were injured. As I lay there I silently declared that God was right with me, that He was omnipotent and omniscient, and that I could not accept this accident as a reality, since, as Science and Health explains, accidents cannot occur under divine Providence (see p. 424). Reasoning once again that I was guided and led by divine Love, I found needed courage to stand upright. I had been mailing a letter in response to a friend's request to pray for her; and I knew that because God's law demands that we love one another, expressing His love cannot result in pain, loss of grace, loss of control or of right action.
