We're all on the beat, guarding against crime and violence ...
Sometimes people feel helpless in the face of crime and violence. It all can seem so difficult to guard against. Yet, as an editorial in The Christian Science Monitor pointed out recently, there is a growing realization among countries steeped in these social evils, and terrorized by them, that law and order brought about by force are not completely effective. Real peace, said the Monitor, must involve some degree of mutual trust.
We invited several students of Christian Science to tell us how they have overcome fear of crime and violence in their cities.
