"... blessed is that man who seeth his brother's need and supplieth it, seeking his own in another's good" (Science and Health, p. 518). This passage is a favorite of mine, and I endeavor to put it into practice whenever possible. It is in the spirit of that text that I offer this testimony.
I was blessed by many years of Sunday School instruction, followed by church membership and Christian Science class instruction. Our entire family practiced Christian Science, and our five children had quick healings as they grew up. I'm grateful for clear proof of God's protecting care, when our entire family was saved when a train suddenly approached an unguarded railroad crossing and hit our car. My husband had time to back the car up just enough so that all seven passengers were unharmed. For many years, I have made it a habit to declare, either aloud when with family, or else to myself, that God is always in control of us, wherever we are.
