When she was young, my mother was healed quickly of a stomach condition doctors had not been able to diagnose or heal. She worked very hard to raise my brother and me, and I saw her rely on prayer for our daily needs.
At a time when I suffered with stomach trouble after eating, my mother shared healing statements with me for about a week. I also asked a Christian Science practitioner for prayerful help. One day during this time I left work at noon and went home to eat the meal my mother had prepared. When I returned to work, I felt a physical readjustment, and knew I was healed. The condition never returned.
My family and I have had many healings of our own in Christian Science, including those of whooping cough, sinus trouble, constipation, and insomnia.
