Mary Baker Eddy cited in survey of influential American women
A recent survey, published by the Associated Press, on influential American women of the twentieth century cited Mary Baker Eddy as the top woman in the religion category.
The poll, taken by the Siena Research Institute at Siena College in New York State, surveyed more than one hundred college professors.
Other women cited in the poll were Eleanor Roosevelt, civil rights activist Rosa Parks, anthropologist Margaret Mead, author Betty Friedan, and former United States Representative Barbara Jordan.
