God leaves nothing to chance!
Without God in our lives, life can seem a risky business.
Have you ever felt totally trapped by circumstances seemingly beyond your control that forced you to depend on someone or something not to your liking? I have.
I'd been praying earnestly for some time about my own private "identity crisis." Frequently I yearned to fast-forward my life to when the children would be grown or when I'd "have more time." Perhaps then I'd discover I had an entity that was more than just someone's wife or mother or daughter. I felt as if I had no individual identity, that I was always being what someone else expected me to be.
My need was as cosmic as it was basic. I had to gain an entirely different view of myself than what the physical senses depicted as me. Certainly there had to be more to existence than the multi-roles of being someone's spouse, employee, or parent, as sincere and loving as these activities are. What gives each of us uniqueness? Isn't it more than gender, socioeconomic strata, environment, or physiology?
