Prayer: our chief weapon in the battle for truth
Sometimes the darkness of the world's troubles may seem to quench the light of God's presence. Through prayer we can prove that this light is still shining and is helping us.
[Original in German]
"Quench not the Spirit," I Thess. 5:19. the Apostle Paul wrote to one the early Christian churches. But every day we may face thoughts or conditions that would "quench" our knowledge of God, Spirit, and of our true nature as His offspring. These thoughts come from human doubts and fears that would blind us to our ability to bring healing to our lives and to our world.
Such misleading thoughts may ask, "Who do you think you are, you speck of dust? A mere one among many billions!" The thought then suggests, "There's nothing about the world's challenges that you—just a speck of dust—can change."
