Love's answer to suicide
Death is never the way out. There is a life worth living, the life God gives us.
Recently , a young woman I knew came to me with tears in her eyes to tell me wonderful news. She said that through Christian Science she had been totally healed of the desire to commit suicide. Her deep gratitude was clearly evident.
I knew what personal challenges she had had to face. But what she said next was almost as thrilling as her first report. Even though she still had some of the same challenges and issues to face, she said she knew that taking her life would be totally counterproductive. She was learning to deal with things through her understanding of God.
It's a sign of spiritual strength when we're able to face our problems instead of running from them. Problems just don't go away by themselves. And we only grow stronger when we begin to realize we can master them—through the power and grace of God, divine Life.
