Climb higher!
As long as our thoughts are earthbound, things can look dark. But with spiritual vision our whole experience can be lifted into light.
[Original in German]
Once when I was flying from Berlin to the Federal Republic of Germany, the sun was just setting and the sky was aglow with the sunset. Then as we flew on, the red ball of the sun, which had just disappeared beneath the horizon, suddenly became visible again for a few minutes.
What had happened? A pilot explained it to me: as long as aircraft are flying over the territory of the German Democratic Republic they maintain an altitude of about three thousand meters. But as soon as they have reached West German territory they climb to eight or nine thousand meters. Our climbing higher is what had brought the sun back into view.
