With a deep sense of gratitude, I share the following healings, which took place solely through the study and application of the teachings of Christian Science.

Several years ago a lump appeared on my chest. I called a Christian Science practitioner to pray for me. We worked together with passages from the Bible and from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy having to do with spiritual growth. A passage from the Bible (Matt. 15:13), "Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up," and one from Science and Health (p. 463), "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive," were most helpful. Though at one point it was impossible for me to raise my arm above my head, I acknowledged with whole trust in God that there is no growth apart from the unfolding understanding and expression of God; and the lump soon disappeared.

When my daughter was about three years old, while playing outside one day she fell, and the end of a stick badly cut the roof of her mouth. The situation was handled promptly through prayer. The mouth healed quickly, and she was able to eat normally that same day. A painful back difficulty I experienced, which was accompanied by fever and faintness at times, was also healed. I am so grateful for this Science, which teaches us that we are truly God's children, His spiritual offspring, made in His image and likeness.
