I am grateful to have attended a Christian Science Sunday School...
I am grateful to have attended a Christian Science Sunday School from a very early age. By my high-school years I had become fairly convinced of the inescapable spiritual logic of the Bible that had been taught me faithfully Sunday after Sunday.
Then, during my senior year in high school, while reading from Miscellaneous Writings by Mrs. Eddy, I reviewed the compilation of testimonies from pages 401-471. I'll never forget the wonder and joy I felt in pondering those accounts of spiritual healing. Beyond the indisputable logic which had already impressed me through the Sunday School teaching, I saw more: that healing proofs of this divine theology are the signs following that must accompany a vital Christian faith to evidence its link with truth.
Through the many years since, I have been increasingly grateful that the glimpse I had then of a practical and undefiled religion has been kindled again and again for me through many church activities, the testimonies of healing published in the Christian Science periodicals, and the many healings of my own.
