After all the testimonies I've rejoiced in over the years I've known Christian Science, it's time I began to return in kind! Recently a growth on my head became quite noticeable. I got busy with deeper study of the weekly Bible Lessons outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly, looked up references to growth and reflection in the writings of Mrs. Eddy, and held to the daily need to grow spiritually.

One day I realized the growth had spread and was painful. I asked for regular help through prayer from a Christian Science practitioner. Of special help was this passage from page 151 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy: "All that really exists is the divine Mind and its idea, and in this Mind the entire being is found harmonious and eternal. The straight and narrow way is to see and acknowledge this fact, yield to this power, and follow the leadings of truth."

I felt sure that the healing was going on. The practitioner pointed out that matter has no basis in Principle to give it reality or life. And I remembered the statement from Science and Health "Patience must 'have her perfect work'" (p. 454).
