Trust God—He won't let you fall
It takes courage to trust God. But the more we understand His true nature, the more confidence we'll have in Him.
"Just lean back. I'll catch you," my older brother would say. He would stand behind me, coaxing me to fall into his arms. Difficult as it was, I would muster up enough courage and fall. Sure enough, he would catch me, and after the third or fourth time my trust came more easily.
Well, as I learned then, trust isn't always easy to come by, and in the face of today's challenges, trusting God for solutions can seem tougher than ever. Problems with society, business, human relationships, and health may appear more easily solved through human opinions, advice, and methods; and certainly there is more to trusting God than human speculation or blind faith.
How does this confident trust in God come about, and how can one make it a working part of his or her own life?
