My sisters and I attended a Christian Science Sunday School from the time we were quite young. Our mother had found this wonderful teaching when she was a young woman and had wanted it for her children. Our father was not a Christian Scientist, but he was willing to take us to Sunday School whenever we wanted to go. Science was just not discussed or practiced openly in our home. However, what we learned in Sunday School of the nature of God and our relationship to Him blessed us beyond measure.

After Sunday School I studied Christian Science very little for several years, but I never forgot those early lessons. After my marriage I again took up the study of Science, including daily study of the Bible Lesson. While my husband never accepted Science for himself, he was very willing that I should have it for myself and for our children. The children and I had many healings through adherence to this teaching, and our needs were met, sometimes in unexpected ways.

One of my healings was of a physical ailment that affected my right hand and leg at frequent intervals. The trouble wasn't noticeable to others, but during those short periods I couldn't write or walk.
