"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. vii). These words were quoted in a letter of welcome from the superintendent of the Christian Science Sunday School where we enrolled our three children many years ago. I had been an active member of another denomination previously and wanted to reach out for a higher understanding of God through this religion, and oh, what blessings we have received!
The healings found in the testimony sections of each Sentinel that our children brought home from Sunday School clearly showed me that this was truly the religion I had been looking for.
Our baby was on a special formula, as he had been diagnosed as being allergic to milk. One day while preparing the bottles I thought, "This isn't consistent with the teachings of Christian Science." I saw a need to pray about the situation. I discarded the rest of the special formula, and from that day on our baby drank regular milk with no aftereffects.
