I had just moved from my home of many years into an apartment. There was much unpacking to be done, and I began to experience considerable pain in my right arm and shoulder. In fact, I soon had very little use of my arm.
One night the pain became intolerable, and I realized that I must do some dedicated and serious praying instead of tossing a few metaphysical statements of truth about now and then. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy states (p. 201), "The way to extract error from mortal mind is to pour in truth through flood-tides of Love." I determined to pour in spiritual truth. I did this by studying Christian Science whenever I was not at my job.
Eventually the acute pain disappeared. I continued to study and ponder spiritual truths more closely than ever before. One morning I found that a storm had left an inch of snow behind. Armed with a broom, I attacked the steps and the walk and then started on the car. I was almost finished when I realized that I was doing this without the slightest discomfort or restriction! I was completely healed, and the condition has never returned.
