Like a sunrise coming
The Bible speaks of "the Sun of righteousness" arising "with healing in his wings." When you've experienced a healing of illness through prayer, you sometimes feel it was like that —like dawn light that finally and undeniably was just there. Both the healing and the sense of divine goodness that produced it seemed natural, not "too hard to believe" but self-evident.
After Christ Jesus had shown the nature of healing to his disciples, taught them, and given the example of his own life, they too felt it was natural. They continued with healing, as did many others in the Church in early Christianity.
Christian healing was largely lost in subsequent centuries, but it never entirely disappeared. People always related their sense of God to a change for the better in their lives. They unquestionably had experiences of guidance and of healing.
