With each spiritual milestone—and there have been many—...
With each spiritual milestone—and there have been many—I become increasingly convinced of God's allness and goodness. The daily study and practice of Christian Science renew this conviction. I find my study is most productive when I am wholeheartedly receptive to the truths of spiritual being. Accepting these truths on an intellectual basis alone does not meet my need.
The teachings of Christian Science have helped me in situations of childbearing, child rearing, locating lost articles, and in maintaining suitable employment and friendships.
One day almost fifteen years ago I began to hemorrhage. It was soon obvious that the condition was of a more severe nature than just a difficult monthly period. I felt calm, recognizing, as I had done many times previously, that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1). The prayerful assistance of an experienced Christian Science practitioner was requested. The condition cleared up permanently, leaving no ill effects.
