Overcoming disappointment through single-minded spirituality
Disappointment. It's sometimes just a nuisance, but other times quite a challenge to overcome. We may stew over something longer than we know we should, but somehow just not be able to get rid of the feeling that we have been let down.
Regaining our joy and satisfaction—really regaining it, not just ignoring our unhappiness—takes more than waiting for time to cover it or a mood to change. It takes deep, consecrated prayer. What seems most needed is to be single-, not double-minded in our desire to overcome all challenges through spiritual means alone.
