A few years ago, after my husband passed on suddenly, I was beautifully lifted above grief. My husband and I had had thirty-six happy years together and were the best of friends. When he passed on I thought to myself: "You have called yourself a Christian Scientist for thirty-nine years and have proved the efficacy of this Science many times. Now you have a decision to make. You can stand with the teaching that God's man is a spiritual idea whose life therefore never ends, or you can accept the belief that death is real and go all to pieces. It's up to you."
