Amy hears God
Amy was just learning to read and write. And she was already good at asking questions. One thing she asked her mother was how we hear God.
In her Christian Science Sunday School, Amy learned that we get answers when we pray and listen to God. But Amy didn't think she was very good at listening, because she couldn't remember ever hearing God talk. When she asked her mother about this, Mother said that we don't hear God with the ears on our head, exactly. We hear Him in our thoughts. He talks to us by giving us good ideas. We pray by listening for good thoughts. Amy wondered just what this could mean.
One day she and her older brother Bobby were doing errands with their mother. All of a sudden, Mother couldn't drive the car anymore. She seemed to be very sick.
