FOR CHILDREN
Error's not a terror
Usually a bully
Is quite a coward, too,
And if you face his threats
He runs away from you.
Now, there's a coward—error—
That tries to be a terror,
To bully and deceive
Until you half believe
That you are sick or sad
Or tempted to be bad.
But if you know what's true,
A lie can't frighten you.
You know that God is good
And that He never could
Make anything that's bad
Or sick, or hurt, or sad.
Talk back to bully error,
Say "You are not a terror!"
Then strip off its disguise—
You'll see it's made of lies.
Yes, error is a bully
But it's a coward, too.
Just stand and challenge error
And watch it run from you!
