My first healing in Christian Science was of a rupture of some thirty years' duration. During that time I had worn trusses of various kinds that were all uncomfortable. Healing occurred soon after I decided to discard the material means of seeking relief. That was nearly fourteen years ago, and there has not been a recurrence of the difficulty.

Some time after this healing I got up enough courage to give my first testimony at a Wednesday testimony meeting in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. I told about the healing of the rupture. Up till then I had not been able to testify. At the conclusion of my remarks I mentioned that another healing had just taken place—I had been freed from the fear of giving a testimony.

In the intervening years many other problems have been overcome, sometimes with the help of a Christian Science practitioner. For about fifteen years I had worn glasses for reading. As a result of my growing spiritual understanding, I was able to discard the glasses, and I continue to read comfortably without them. Headaches have also been healed; I have not been troubled by them for many years. And there have been quick healings of injuries.
