About five years ago I became a student of Christian Science

About five years ago I became a student of Christian Science. My twelve-year-old son's failure to respond to medical treatment for a painful back injury prompted my decision to seek healing through spiritual means. I had no idea where to look for this kind of help, since my interest in religion, as such, had waned long before, leaving me with too many unanswered questions.

I had, however, always felt that something good was ever with me and caring for me. So I turned to my "something good," sincerely praying that I would be given what I needed. My prayer was soon answered, for Christian Science was introduced to me. I quickly purchased from the Christian Science Reading Room a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I also bought an issue of The Christian Science Journal and selected a name from the listing of Christian Science practitioners.

I will always remember the tremendous joy I experienced while my son and I were driving home from our first visit with the practitioner. She had lovingly assured us that because God was All and wholly good, evil was unreal and therefore had no claims on us or anyone.
