Law of liberty—law of healing
One of the central themes of Christianity is freedom. The hope of salvation includes the expectancy that with regeneration we will progressively find release from the shackles and limitations of human existence. Christ Jesus' remarkable ministry of healing the sick, redeeming the sinner, raising the dead, was preeminently a ministry of liberation.
Think of what it must have meant to the man who the Bible tells us had been "sick of the palsy," when the Master set him free. See Mark 2:1-12 .
A large crowd had gathered around Jesus, and four men approached, carrying their sick friend. But they couldn't pass through the crowd, so they made their way up to the roof above Jesus. After breaking a hole in the roof, they let their friend down. The Bible relates that "when Jesus saw their faith," he forgave the man his sins and released him from his infirmity.
