The difference

LYLE M. CRIST

Looking up
I found the stars in place
one ebon night.
It was faith that led.

Thick clouds were low
the next dark night,
and though I could not see,
I knew the stars in place.

(Now understanding led, instead.)
Through faith, the stars confirming;
through understanding,
I, affirming.
