Anyone can pray for himself—and be healed

Sometimes if we're afraid or hurt, we want someone to help us. We might go get Mom or Dad to pray for us, or we might call a Christian Science practitioner.

But what about the times when there's nobody around whom we can ask to pray? Maybe we're all by ourselves (if we were alone in the woods, we sure couldn't call a practitioner). Or maybe we're in a situation where there are lots of people (even on the playground at school), but our friends don't know about spiritual healing.

Well, one of the good things Christian Science teaches us is that we can always pray for ourselves no matter where we are. And here's another good thing we learn. We're never really alone, because God, our Father-Mother, is always right with us. We can feel God's love—in the woods, on the playground, in a big crowd at a parade, or in our own backyard.
