One morning several years ago, I was wakened...
Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright....
(Ecclesiastes 7:29.)
One morning several years ago, I was wakened very early by my husband calling me. His voice was faint, and I thought I was dreaming. When I finally realized he was calling from the den, I got up and went to him right away. I found him on the sofa, unable to get up. He said, "Don't be afraid but please help me." He asked me to pray for him. I immediately thought of his instruction that I not be afraid. Then I remembered this from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 283): "Mind is the source of all movement...." [The entire statement reads: "Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action."] I clung steadfastly to Mind, God, as the source of my husband's ability to move.
