The spiritual constant
Five, 5, V. Each of these "fives" represents the same constant arithmetical value. This value is unaffected by the form of its representation.
The fact that man is created by God, divine Principle, is a spiritual constant. God, as Mind, creates idea, man—His perfect expression existing in Mind. Human conditions cannot alter the continuous perfection of God's creation.
In the Bible we read, "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." Gen. 1:31. Explaining this verse in Science and Health, the Christian Science textbook, Mrs. Eddy writes: "Deity was satisfied with His work. How could He be otherwise, since the spiritual creation was the outgrowth, the emanation, of His infinite self-containment and immortal wisdom?" Science and Health, p. 519. Perfection is the spiritual constant of man's being.
