I was raised with much love in Christian Science by my mother, for whom I shall be forever grateful. My dear father supported her efforts. I have had numerous demonstrations of God's care, just a few of which I will relate.

Fifteen years ago, a few months before I was to receive class instruction in Christian Science, the fingers of my right hand became seriously infected. The skin was gone in several places, and my fingernails loosened. A Christian Science nurse came three times a week to clean and bandage the fingers. During those weeks there was only one time when I felt any pain at all. A Christian Science practitioner was asked to pray for me.
