Although I was raised in Christian Science, I did not begin...
Although I was raised in Christian Science, I did not begin studying it until many years later when my children were teenagers. At that point I did not feel much joy or purpose in my life, and there occurred a prolonged period of unemployment for my husband, which brought many problems of lack and inharmony. What a lovely time to "find" Christian Science, and hope.
Over the next few years I worked closely with a Christian Science practitioner. We spoke many times, and he always had just the right spiritual truths to share that led me to learn more about God. One of the first things I learned was not to let anything take away my joy. No matter how extreme the lack or inharmony seemed at times, I found that it had no effect on my joy, which I knew was from God.
