I am very thankful to have become acquainted with Christian Science

I am very thankful to have become acquainted with Christian Science. Before I knew much about this teaching, I sought truth with great enthusiasm and prayed fervently. In June of 1978, as I was studying the Bible, I suddenly felt a strong desire to visit someone whose friend had attended Sunday services in a Christian Science Society. During this visit I obtained the address of the local society.

Then, on the following Saturday, I went to the Christian Science Reading Room. The librarian was very kind to me.

While there I read a passage in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, which starts (p. 35), "Our baptism is a purification from all error." It goes on to say, "Our Eucharist is spiritual communion with the one God." From the moment I read these words, my life changed, for I began to find the answers I needed. Through the Reading Room I received a quantity of Christian Science periodicals. And I was inspired to attend the Sunday service at the Christian Science Society the next day.
