The healing

I prayed so long (it seemed)
for spiritual enlightenment.

Then one starless,
memorable night,
the truth burst like a
thousand skyrockets,
and stars of light
showered my consciousness
with the inspiration of Soul.

Enveloped in its radiance,
suddenly,
I was whole!
