One month later the check had not arrived, and I was in a financial bind because I'd already spent the money I was so sure would be forthcoming.
She eventually did send the check. This passing episode, however, pushed me into a deeper examination of the whole question of supply. Was I really following the admonition of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, "Trust in Truth, and have no other trusts"? The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 171.
