God is not an abstraction
"Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of before ye ask him." Matt. 6:8.
"He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him." Ps. 91:15.
Aren't such comforting words assurance that God can be to us a loving Father—a Parent who guides, provides, and frees us from whatever may be troubling us? Is a parent ever abstract?
