With sincere gratitude to God I'd like to tell of some of the benefits I've received from studying and applying the truths I have learned in Christian Science.

I often think of the trial that Christ Jesus went through before the crucifixion, when he was falsely accused and condemned. But through his love he was able to forgive his accusers. We follow Jesus' example each time we gain a Christlike perception of God and man; when we continue to love and forgive during times of trial.

An opportunity to demonstrate this occurred one time when my husband and I unexpectedly found ourselves faced with a lawsuit. We had rented an apartment we owned to a couple, one of whom was alcoholic, though we didn't know it at the time. The man came home drunk frequently, used profane language, and was loud. Finally the problems became such that it was necessary to request that this couple move. Before doing so, however, I took time to pray about the situation, seeking God's guidance. Then, once I felt at peace about the decision, I telephoned the tenants. However, they responded with false accusations and threatened my husband and me with a lawsuit, claiming that one of them had been injured while on our property.
