FOR CHILDREN
Hearing God's voice
Momma was sewing on a button when Soren came storming into the room. He had looked everywhere for his Jeep and trailer and couldn't find them. He started to cry when Momma asked, "Soren, do you need a mother's help?"
Soren and Momma both thought she would help him look for his Jeep. But when Soren couldn't wait for the button to be finished, Momma wasn't happy about his impatience. She said, "Let's ask Father-Mother God to help us." Mrs. Eddy refers to God as "Father-Mother" (see, e.g., Science and Health 16:27), and this is a term children learn in the Christian Science Sunday School.
"How can God help me find my Jeep?" Soren asked.
