Choose good
Good is a law of God. It is changeless and perfect, the same eternally. God's perfect law of good denies the claim of any opposing law and can be proved the reality in every inharmonious circumstance when it is recognized as the only law, or power.
How are individuals led to recognize the divine Principle of all good? Basically by choosing to accept the truth of creation, which is stated in the first chapter of Genesis: "God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him. ... And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." Gen. 1:27, 31. If we elect to accept creation as wholly good, a first step has been made. A further step is to choose to rely on the law of good and refuse to accept any other law as real or as having power.
At one time I had to deal with an inharmonious human relationship. I reacted by gazing at the injustice, rehearsing the disruption, and indulging in self-pity. This led to distress, depression, and suffering to the point of physical exhaustion. After a period of time there was a sharp awakening from this false, oppressive sense. It came in these words: Do you love this hell, or do you love good? Take your pick!
