I am grateful to God for Christian Science, which has brought me many blessings. I came to know about Christian Science through listening to the radio broadcasts, "The Truth that Heals." Eventually I wrote a Christian Science practitioner and requested help through prayer for a condition of rheumatism that the doctors had been unable to cure. In a short time the rheumatism disappeared.

With this healing I began studying divine Science by myself, for where I live there is no branch Church of Christ, Scientist. I learned later that there was a group of Christian Scientists about twenty-five miles away, and I got in touch with them. Now, although I have not yet joined The Mother Church, there are three of us neighbor women who meet weekly to read the Bible Lesson given in the Christian Science Quarterly.

I have solved various problems through Christian Science, but at this time I wish especially to express my gratitude for the healing of my son. He began to have such difficulty in walking that I became very concerned and took him to a doctor, who had an X-ray taken. While he was studying the still-wet X-ray, the doctor explained to me that the boy had a crack in his knee bone and that he felt an operation was necessary, since the condition could be expected to worsen with the passage of time. However, the doctor could not guarantee good results from the operation, and he told me that the leg would remain permanently stiff.
