The Master and you

When was your first acquaintance with the Master, Christ Jesus? Perhaps in childhood, so early that you have no remembrance of its beginning?

Whenever we made this first acquaintance, and without our realizing it, a great issue stood on our path: What effect would Jesus' life have on our lives? Because his human life came about, all of us have a different life than we would have had without his. No one is outside the jurisdiction of divine Truth, which was exemplified to humanity in the life of Christ Jesus.

A beginning acquaintance with the Master comes with the knowledge of his ministry, of what he said and did. But learning to live by what he taught and beginning to prove what he proved is real acquaintance, even a sense of companionship. In this way we begin to master our lives as Jesus was the master of his.
