The answer to lack
There is an answer to lack. It is always fundamentally the same, whether lack takes the form of joblessness, insufficient companionship, limited opportunity for progress, or some other deprivation or void. The answer lies in realizing the completeness of man as God's idea reflecting His infinitude of good.
In order to make this answer practical we need to consider our standpoint. Is it a mortal view of things? Or a spiritual standpoint in accord with the reality of God and man.
In the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy observes, "In league with material sense, mortals take limited views of all things." Science and Health, p. 255. Such is the nature of mortal thought uninstructed in spiritual Truth—mortal mind, as we call it in Christian Science.
