Lost and found: on the road

Elisha
on the road by Jordan
lost his teacher (and self-doubt)
and found his mantle.

Disciples
on the walk to Emmaus
lost their Way-shower (and their sorrow)
and found their way:
evidence of immortality.

Saul
on Damascus road
lost his sight (and his anger)
and found his mission, his Master,
and his new name, Paul.

Dear pilgrim,
what is the road you travel
and what do you need to lose
in order to find which prize?
