Stronghold
We may not have to face
the boiling oil, the furnace,
or the lions' jaws;
yet if the temperature,
the fallout, and the roar
of error's taunting
may sometimes seem as dire,
the certainty of Love's protection
and deliverance is always there.
No blazing error can eclipse
the steadfast, piercing
glow of Soul,
no oscillating evil drown
the healing voice of Truth.
When trials come,
we can outface them
with a neutralizing calm—
secure within God's love.
