Spiritual truth: the remedy for material discord

Christian Science corrects material evidence with spiritual truth. For example, bodily illness can be conquered with the truth of the spiritual man's unfailing good health. Material lack is exchanged for the truth of abundant supply in God's spiritual universe.

For a long time this puzzled me. Of what relevance is a spiritual fact when a material world or body needs healing?

There would be no relevance if the material world and body were the solid realities they appear to be. But they are not fundamental realities. Instead, matter is a graphic misrepresentation of the spiritual. And spiritual truth is the precise corrective to the material misstatement.
