...upon the sea

This day is the now in eternity,
And you can do something wonderful
today.

You can walk out upon

the surging seas
of mortal belief:
Fear, discouragement, disease,
and grief.

No more tunneling under—
No more bridging over—
The wild, tempestuous riptides
of worldliness.

The Christ is here, to heal, to bless—
The "peace, be still." Your Christliness
Will calm the turmoil, turn the tide
for you
for all.

So, step out today
In humility and trust,
Fearless and free
Upon the sea!
